Flight training at Atlanta East Aviation is provided by our seasoned pilots with collectively, over 125 years of flight experience. Their main focus is to teach you how to fly safely and professionally in our well maintained aircrafts. All of our maintenance is done in-house in our aircraft maintenance division. Our instructors will sit down with you and individualize your training based on your needs and goals. We offer single engine, multi-engine and complex aircrafts for you to learn to fly in. Our fleet of aircrafts includes Piper Seminole, Piper Cherokee, 2 Cessna 150s and a Beechcraft Debonair. Whether you are new to aviation, building time towards your commercial rating, or if flying is your hobby, we are here to tailor and serve your needs.
INITIAL FLIGHT TRAINING (IFT) GATEWAY PROGRAM
- • This a 20 hour flight training program designed to prepare upcoming USAF aviators for their Initial Flight Training (IFT). In this program students will learn how to takeoff and land, basic maneuvers, pilotage and dead reckoning, aeronautical knowledge, and special maneuvers. This program is designed for each student to also complete their solo flight. This program is not a substitute for IFT but simply a course to give upcoming USAF aviators a better understanding of the basics of aviation.
INTRODUCTION TO AVIATION BASICS
- • This is a 20 hour flight program designed for anyone looking to begin their aviation career by introducing them to the basics of flight. This course is ideal for those who are preparing to start a professional pilot program at a four year university and for individuals who don’t necessarily want a pilot's license but frequently fly up front with family or friends and want to learn basics for safety reasons. In this program, students will learn takeoffs and landings, emergency procedures, navigation, pilotage and dead reckoning, basic maneuvers and be able to complete solo flight training if desired.

- • Obtaining your pilot's license is a rewarding and remarkable achievement. Whether you have an interest in a long time aviation career or you simply want to fly for fun and for personal purposes, it all starts with your private pilot’s license. The FAA minimum states that an individual must receive a minimum of 40 hours of flight training however the national average is closer to 75 hours. At Atlanta East Aviation, we are confident we can help you earn your private pilot's license in well under the national average. We offer two private pilot training packages that consist of 50 and 60 hours of flight training. At the end of your training, you will be able to enjoy the many privileges that come with being a private pilot and have the ability to take your aviation career to the next level.
